Traveler ReviewsIf you can't make it to Mumbai for dinner, try Open House in Nairobi

We had a really great meal at Open House. The dishes are prepared with a bit more style than in most Indian restaurants - veges extra fresh, ginger colorfully spiced, tika paneer slices each placed in a scoop of vegetables, lassi dusted with cumin. All were very tasty. The service was excellent - waiters who knew the foods, brought and cleared dishes promptly. The restaurant is full of the local Indian community - suggesting the food has authentic roots. And prices were very reasonable. This is what eating out is supposed to be.
While many have told us "the dining in Nairobi is fantastic" - this is the first time we've actually been impressed.

This si a real Indian restuarant with all the dishes you need. The owner is often there greeting guests and making sure they order more than they need ;) Service is good and it is a nice place to go to. Downstairs at the entrance they have a small bar so if you are meeting up with guests you can wait there and make sure you will not miss them. Teh pricing is fair and nothing really to complain about. Good place to go to with friends, family and business partners.

Booked on line so glad we did, used a new site called www.eatout.co.ke as there was quite a queue so very popular, service was good and the food was really good. Comming from the UK its normally quite difficult to find a good Indian restaurant whilst on your travells, but we have. Will deffeniatly go back there.
Simply the best in Nairobi when it comes...

Simply the best in Nairobi when it comes to Indian food. Chicken Tikka Boneless, Chilly Paneer Fry and Goannas Prawn Curry are without competition in this town of many Indian eateries. It gets busy at times but the hard working waiters ensure a smooth service.
