Best Ice Cream

Having been a Mombasa resident, we spent many a day at Yuls. The food is outstanding and the Ice Cream is to die for!!! Atmosphere is great, although it can get very busy on a weekend. Hieke and Yuls are perfect hosts. The staff are brilliant and always friendly. Always a sad day when the restaurant closes in the off season for two months - July / August and the craving for Ice cream intensifies. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone. Oh, and their water sports section is run very professionally and they have good and safe equipment.

Yuls is one of the finest restaurants in Kenya, always very consistent ! The food is excellent especially the seafood platter for two! The atmosphere and staff of yuls also make you very comfortable. There is one setback, if you dont place a reservation on weekends, be prepared to wait because it being mombasa finest restaurant gets extremely busy during the weekends. Also after your meal make sure you hit the ice creams because, they have the best selection of home made ice creams, my favourites being isabelles cookies and straciatella. The management of this place is doing a great job! well done!

Really enjoyed eating at Yul's, the food was excellent, if a little pricey by African standards. The ice-cream was great. What really made it though was the lovely location on Bamburi Beach, great view of the ocean, nicely set up from the hawkers, so you can watch the world go by whilst having a lazy afternoon. If you feel like it, you can go next door to hire a jet ski, do some watersports, wander down the beach for a camel ride or to buy some souvenirs.

The Ice Cream is great, no getting away from that. And I've had quite a few good meals there. The only think I worry about is they are becoming more pricey, and their bottled water is even more expensive than most of the Hotels around. Atmosphere is spoiled somewhat by the banging music from next door. You think it's being played too loudly in the restaurant... but it isn't.

I have visited Yuls Restaurant several times but the dinner I had with my companion on 27th August was very special... The attention was first class and.. food... no complaints at all... simply first class.. the sampling or ice cream... well... how much can you eat... well i managed 4 selections.. without a doubt.. the best ice cream i have ever tasted... any where in the world... well done..please keep it up..I will return,,,,
