What a wondurful water world
Reviewed by Tombadou on Feb 24, 2011I'm a 60 year old Belgian living in France, and I was in Mombasa from the 12 to the 20th of february. I wanted to learn diving. In Buccanneer, I was welcome by the charming manager, David. We start a 2 hours lesson in the swimming pool, and the day after we went with other divers in the boat. I felt a little nervous, with the big oxygen bottle, an heavy iron belt, the huge palms...I felt a bit miserable, cant walk propely in the boat, and in addition, I had to jump in the sea with a mask, anxious to know if I would be able to breathe. But suddenly, along the rope to go down, with the instructor near to you, very patient, you feel secure, relax, and you discover this wondefull under-world! It's magic! During fifty minuts, you fly in the middle of wounderfull fishs, corals. During the week, I dive 5 times, with 3 different instructors, david, Dany and Moses. The 3 are very cool, nice, calm. They show you fish you never could find yourself. The atmospher at the base is friendly, the staff very helpfull. I'm so enthousiastic to discover the pleasure of this new world, and I will surely come back next year.

The best diving we have ever had
Reviewed by JAWMatthews on Feb 17, 2011My wife and I only had a few days in Mombasa at the end of a safari holiday. We found the diving to be the best we had ever experienced and thought that Buccaneer Diving were excellent. Their equipment was fist class. Their boat was a solid one which is important for me as a bad sailor and their boat and dive crews both knowledgeable and professional.
We are planning a return trip later this year and will make sure we have more time available for diving.
Thank you Buccaneer!

Great dive operator
Reviewed by sprattman on Feb 7, 2011Having previously dived with Buccaneer, I did not hesitate to book a 5 day package with them once I had decided to visit Kenya again. Great customer service, from punctual picks ups by Sammy to friendly and well trained guides. The dive centre in White Sands is very well run by Claudio & Julia and they can't do enough to accomodate your diving needs. Specific sites can be dived on request, as long as enough divers are signed up. As a well travelled diving instructor, I'd recommend Buccaneer to anyone wishing to dive in the Mombasa region.
